A Husband Prayer

Lord,

Create in me a clean heart and renewed spirit of righteousness.

Help me to be the head of my home and family just as You created me to be.

Make me a man after Your own heart.

Let my thoughts be Your thoughts and my ways be Your ways.

Help me to exhibit love and kindness towards my wife.

Help me to quickly let go of any anger, frustration or confusion; let it not have any place in me.

Give me wisdom and understanding when it comes to my wife and marriage.

Help me give to honor and love my wife unconditionally.

Renew our love for one another.

Heal any wounds that have caused a rift between us.

Give me patience, understanding, and compassion.

Help me to be loving, peaceful, gentle, and courteous to her.

Enable me to love her the way that You do.

Bring my wife and I to a place of unity with one another.

Help us to be of the same mind when it comes to Your will.

Help me speak words that builds up and heal, and not teardown or wound.

Fill my heart with Your love so that it overflows through my speech.

Give me Your joy, peace, and goodness.

Give me gentleness and self control especially pertaining to my wife.

Help me to be the man, husband, and spiritual leader that You called me to be.
